We spent 3 days in Oviedo, Spain and it's surrounding towns. Oviedo is slightly off the beaten tourists path and was a delightful city. Our first night we walked around the shopping district and got Maddie some new clothes at the Zara sale and visited the city's large cathedral. Sunday we spent at church in a small ward that Willie served in. The people at church were so excited to see Willie and you could tell how much they loved him! We then went to the local park and let Maddie play at the playground.
Our last day in Spain we went to Asturias Beach which is amazing surf beach. Willie lived right by this beach during his mission and each day he would look out at the water wishing he could surf. His wish came true as we rented surf boards and spent the day surfing and playing in the sand.
It was the perfect last day for our two week road trip through Spain. The next morning we headed to the airport to fly to Brussels!
