A day in Dusseldorf

Dusseldorf, Germany

Before there was Milan, there was the "Ko". The  "Ko" is a high end shopping plaza situated in downtown Dusseldorf. It lived up to its reputation, it was gorgeous.

We picked up some soccer boots for Kellen to play rugby in. And if your wondering they call cleats, "boots" here in Europe.
We tried to make our way from the "Ko" to the Alstadt or Old Town, but we did not really know where to go and got quite lost in downtown Dusseldorf. We finally spotted a steeple peering through the trees which helped lead us to our desired destination.

As you may notice I finally don't have my winter coat on... yeah! That's because it was a beautiful day around 20C or 70F. So we took a stroll down the Rhine River promenade and ate pizza overlooking the river with about 10,000 other people.

Next we headed to the Bolkerstrasse (strasse is steet in Greman) which is known as the "longest bar in the world." Of course we fit right in here! It's a very long street crammed with outdoor bars. We found it great for people watching and everybody on the street LOVED Maddie in her little pink jacket and furry white boots!

That night we headed back to our hotel and enjoyed the luxury of an American hotel, thank you Marriott!

And lastly our word of the day was...

I know what your probably thinking, but it means Exit in German!
